Studd is a quoting and payment platform for home service professionals, operated by Vibrant Visions Group ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Illinois. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Studd at getstudd.com and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account
  • Business name, address, and logo
  • Client information you enter (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses)
  • Payment and banking information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps)
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address

Information from third parties:

  • Google profile information if you sign in with Google (name, email, profile photo)
  • Payment data from Stripe when clients pay deposits or invoices

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Studd platform
  • Send quotes and invoices to your clients on your behalf
  • Process payments via Stripe Connect
  • Send SMS notifications via Twilio (if you opt in)
  • Send transactional emails (quote confirmations, payment receipts)
  • Improve and develop our services
  • Communicate with you about your account

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Your Clients' Information

When you use Studd to send quotes or invoices, you provide us with your clients' contact information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share this information with us. We use client information solely to deliver the services you request (sending quotes, processing payments) and do not use client data for our own marketing purposes.

5. Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. When contractors connect their bank account or when clients pay a deposit, Stripe collects and processes payment information directly. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

6. SMS Communications

If you provide a phone number, we may send you SMS messages related to your account, including quote activity alerts and AI assistant interactions via Twilio. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

7. Data Sharing

We share your information with:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Twilio — SMS delivery
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
  • Neon — database hosting

We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
